My "day job" is repairing (and selling) vintage and antique guitars, banjos, mandolins, ukes and whatever else crosses my path. I do that under the name Antebellum Instruments and it's a huge joy to be able to do that for a living.

My "life work" is songwriting. I've been doing it as long as I've been playing and my catalog is growing and growing. I've now recorded a few hundred (though not all are on the site). I also like to simply play (and I play all the instrument types I fix up), but I think the songwriting is what's most important to me -- getting those stories down.

My "band life" involves my friends Tom Christiano (of Ripton, VT) and Forrest Newton (of Stockbridge, VT) under the name The Three Good Eggs. I also play with a few other groups including The Baba Yagas which features Tom as well as Justine Cavacas and Ron Douglas, both of Rochester, VT. Our weekend jam group Whoever Shows Up plays events from time to time, too.

My "real life" involves my sweet ultra-creative wife Bonnie and our two super-energetic daughters Oona and Elsa as well as a warm circle of friends and family. We live right in the middle of the Green Mountains with nature to spare and clean, clean air.
